11月07日讯 33岁的前NBA球员罗伊斯-怀特以40.5%的得票率竞选明尼苏达州参议员（美国国会上议院代表）失败。

在明尼苏达的参议员竞争中，共和党的怀特输给了民主党的Amy Klobuchar，后者得票率56.3%。

怀特在2012年首轮第16顺位被火箭选中，因害怕坐飞机不愿打客场比赛与火箭闹僵，在NBA呆了不久便辗转海外联赛。怀特随后改打MMA综合格斗，在2021年输掉了格斗生涯唯一的一场比赛，之后开始从政。
